   Inspect the wiring harness, connectors, and pins leading to External Hydraulic Valve 6 for corrosion, moisture, or breaks (connection problems are the most common cause).

   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic interface device to pull the exact sub-code (e.g., 0A.60.11 vs 0A.60.1F) to determine if the issue is an open circuit, short circuit, or mechanical binding.

   Consult the specific tractor's service manual to interpret the exact decimal variant of the DTC correctly.

   Relieve pressure

   Relieve all hydraulic system pressure before servicing the valve block.

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the solenoid of External Valve 6.

   Repair wiring

   If the diagnostic check revealed a wiring fault, repair or replace the damaged harness section.

   Remove valve

   If the valve itself is faulty, unbolt the specific spool valve section from the hydraulic remote stack (often requiring the replacement of mounting O-rings).
