   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to confirm the exact alphanumeric code (e.g., 0A.60.19 vs 0A.61.19)

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors at External Hydraulic Valve 6 for connection problems

   Verify the signal voltage coming from the mudguard switches to the hitch/spool valve for irregularities

   Locate components

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 6 (often part of the rear remote valve stack) and the associated mudguard control switches.

   Inspect and repair wiring

   Disconnect and inspect the electrical connectors for corrosion, bent pins, or broken wires. Repair or replace the wiring harness if physical damage is found.

   Remove valve

   If the wiring and voltage signals are intact but the valve does not respond, the electric spool slice/valve itself has likely failed internally and must be removed.

   Install replacement

   Install the replacement electric spool slice.

   Program unit

   If replacing the electric spool slice, the new unit must be programmed to the tractor using a dealer diagnostic tool.
