Massey Ferguson A.6X.20: External Hydraulic Valve 6 Issue

Indicates a connection problem, restriction, or operational failure associated with the 6th external hydraulic remote/spool valve. When this fault occurs, the remote hydraulics may become slow (restricted oil flow), weak (pressure problem), or completely dead (no response from the spool valve), which can cause jerky or erratic movements in tractor attachments.

   Check the hydraulic oil filter and transmission filter for blockages, which are primary suspects for restricted flow.

   Inspect hydraulic fluid for dirt or contamination.

   Look for blocked or damaged quick couplers and worn hoses at the rear remotes.

   Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connectors plugging into the 6th external spool valve for corrosion or breaks.

   Test if the valve is physically sticking or if there are pressure-related faults causing jerky attachment movements.

   Service the Fluid/Filters

   Drain contaminated hydraulic fluid and replace the main hydraulic/transmission filters.

   Repair Connections

   Clean and reseat the electrical connector on the 6th external hydraulic valve. Replace the pigtail harness if wires are frayed.

   Service the Spool Valve

   If the valve is leaking or sticking internally, remove the specific spool valve from the rear valve stack. Clean the valve body, replace the internal O-rings/seals, or replace the entire valve slice if the internal spool is scored.

   Clear the Code

   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool or interface device to clear the DTC from the system and verify the repair.
