Issue description
Indicates a malfunction in the circuit or operation of the 6th rear auxiliary remote hydraulic valve. The underlying condition is typically an electrical connection problem (such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power at the valve's solenoid) or a mechanical issue where the electronic valve spool is sticking, jammed by debris, or failing to respond to the controller's commands.

Check the cause
Check Fluid and Filters: Verify the hydraulic oil (UTTO) level and condition. A blocked hydraulic/transmission filter or contaminated oil can cause valves to stick or trigger pressure faults.
Inspect the Wiring Harness: Check the electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 6 (located at the rear remote valve stack). Look for harness rub points, broken wires, or corrosion inside the connector.
Test the Solenoid: Measure the coil resistance of the Valve 6 solenoid with a multimeter to check for an open circuit or a shorted coil.
Swap Test: Temporarily swap the electrical connector from Valve 6 to an adjacent known-good valve (e.g., Valve 5). If the fault code changes to indicate Valve 5, the issue is in the wiring harness or controller. If the fault remains on Valve 6, the solenoid or the mechanical valve slice itself is faulty.
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Turn off the tractor and cycle the hydraulic controls to relieve all residual pressure in the system before beginning work.
Remove the Solenoid
Disconnect the electrical harness from Valve 6. If only the electronic solenoid is faulty, remove the retaining nut at the end of the actuator, slide the old coil off, and install the replacement.
Extract the Spool (If sticking/leaking)
If the valve itself is jammed with debris or leaking, the spool must be removed. Clean the front and rear of the valve body.
Disassemble the Valve Slice
Unscrew the large pipe/cap from the rear of the valve. Carefully withdraw the valve spool out of the back of the valve body. Note: Take care to observe how the springs, detent balls, and seals are oriented for correct reassembly.
Clean and Inspect
Clamp the actuator in a vise (using soft jaws) and clean the spool with solvent. Inspect for deep scoring. If the spool is heavily scored, the entire valve slice may need replacement.
Replace Seals
Remove the old O-rings and wiper seals from the valve body and spool. Install a new remote valve seal kit.
Reassemble
Lubricate the spool with clean hydraulic fluid and carefully slide it back into the valve body. Reinstall the detent balls, springs, and rear cap.
Test
Reconnect the electrical harness, start the tractor, and operate Valve 6 to bleed the system and check for leaks or returning fault codes.
