   Check hydraulic fluid and filters for dirty or contaminated oil. Replace the hydraulic oil filter or transmission filter if restricted flow is suspected.

   Inspect quick-disconnect couplers and hoses for blockages, wear, or damage.

   Test valve response to determine if the hydraulic response is slow (restricted oil flow), weak (pressure problem/relief valve fault), or dead (no oil supply, stuck spool valve, or electrical diverter issue).

   Check for external fluid leaks at the rear end of the remote valve and the spool.

   Clean valve body

   Clean the front of the valve body and the spool area thoroughly to prevent contamination.

   Remove linkage

   Remove the linkage or electronic actuator lever from the valve spool.

   Unscrew fitting

   Unscrew the large pipe/fitting from the rear of the valve.

   Remove valve spool

   If repairing a leak, the valve spool can often be removed from the valve body while the valve remains mounted on the tractor.

   Inspect and replace

   Inspect the spool for scoring or sticking. Replace the internal seals/O-rings, or replace the entire hydraulic valve assembly if the internal body is damaged or the electronic solenoid has failed.
