Check the cause
Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to confirm the code is active and check for related codes (such as 0A.41.FF, which indicates a connection problem on a hydraulic valve).
Inspect the electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 7 (located at the rear remote stack) for corrosion, bent pins, or moisture ingress.
Trace the wiring harness leading to the valve to check for chafing, breaks, or short circuits.
Test the valve solenoid for proper resistance and verify it is receiving the correct voltage signal from the ECU when actuated.
Check for mechanical binding in the valve spool that might be causing the solenoid to overdraw current.
Repair steps
Depressurize
Turn off the tractor and relieve all hydraulic system pressure by cycling the hydraulic controls before servicing.
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.
Locate the Valve
Locate External Hydraulic Valve 7 at the rear hydraulic remote stack.
Disconnect Harness
Unplug the electrical harness from the faulty valve solenoid.
Wiring Repair (If Applicable)
If the diagnostic checks revealed a wiring issue, repair or replace the damaged harness section.
Valve Replacement
If the solenoid or valve itself is faulty, unbolt the valve section from the hydraulic stack.
Installation
Install the new hydraulic control valve/solenoid assembly. Ensure all O-rings are properly seated and lubricated with clean hydraulic fluid.
Reassembly
Torque the mounting bolts to OEM specifications. Reconnect the electrical harness and the battery.
Clear and Test
Clear the DTC using a diagnostic tool and test the hydraulic remote under load to ensure proper operation.
