Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 7 for corrosion, backed-out pins, or wire chafing
Visually inspect the valve block and quick-couplers for hydraulic fluid leaks that could indicate a blown seal causing a pressure drop
Verify that the tractor's hydraulic fluid is at the correct level and free of contamination
Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the DTC and operate the hydraulic remote to see if the code returns actively
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Turn off the tractor and cycle the hydraulic controls to relieve all residual hydraulic pressure in the system.
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts and ensure the ECU does not send signals to the valve during repair.
Remove the Valve
Locate External Hydraulic Valve 7 on the rear remote stack. Disconnect the electrical harness connector.
Disconnect Lines
Unbolt the hydraulic lines attached to the valve. Cap the lines immediately to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.
Dismount the Valve Block
Remove the mounting bolts holding the spool valve to the hydraulic block/stack.
Rebuild or Replace
If rebuilding: Disassemble the valve on a clean workbench. Replace all internal O-rings, seals, and the spool using an OEM repair kit. If replacing: Install the new complete valve assembly.
Reassembly
Bolt the valve back into the stack, reconnect the hydraulic lines, and plug in the electrical connector.
Final Testing
Reconnect the battery, top off the hydraulic fluid, start the tractor, and test the remote for proper operation and leak-free performance. Clear the A.71.25 code using a diagnostic tool.
