   Inspect the electrical connector plugging into External Hydraulic Valve 7 at the rear hydraulic block for corrosion, bent pins, or a loose connection

   Verify if the pilot pressure control for the electric spool valve is functioning, as electrical failures here will trigger valve issue codes

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool to retrieve exact sub-codes and attempt to clear the DTC to see if it is a hard fault or an intermittent connection issue

   Depressurize the System

   Ensure the tractor is turned off, the implement is lowered to the ground, and hydraulic pressure is relieved from the rear remotes.

   Disconnect the Battery

   Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate Valve 7

   Identify the 7th external hydraulic valve slice in the rear valve stack.

   Disconnect Electrical Connections

   Unplug the wiring harness from the electric spool slice.

   Remove the Valve Slice

   Unbolt the tie-rods or retaining bolts holding the valve stack together. Carefully slide out the faulty electric spool slice.

   Install the New Valve

   Insert the replacement electric spool slice (or install an OEM repair kit if rebuilding the mechanical seals).

   Reassemble and Torque

   Reinstall the retaining bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.

   Program the Valve

   A new electric spool slice must be programmed to the tractor's ECU using a dealer diagnostic tool before it will function correctly.

   Reconnect the battery, clear the A.72.21 fault code, and test the hydraulic remote for proper operation.
