   Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector at External Hydraulic Valve 7 for corrosion, backed-out pins, or wire chafing

   Retrieve and verify the active/inactive status of the code using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic interface device

   Ensure there is no mechanical binding in the spool valve and that the hydraulic fluid is at the correct level and free of heavy contamination

   Relieve hydraulic pressure

   Relieve all hydraulic system pressure before servicing the valve block.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

   Disconnect electrical harness

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the actuator on External Hydraulic Valve 7.

   Remove actuator or valve slice

   If the diagnostic tests proved the solenoid/actuator is dead, unbolt the electronic actuator head from the valve slice (if serviceable separately) or remove the entire valve slice from the rear remote stack.

   Install replacement part

   Install the replacement valve or actuator, ensuring all O-rings are lubricated with clean hydraulic fluid.

   Re-torque tie-bolts

   Re-torque the valve stack tie-bolts to OEM specifications.

   Reconnect and clear code

   Reconnect the wiring harness, restore battery power, and use the diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.72.29 code.

   Test operation

   Test the remote valve operation to ensure there are no leaks and the code does not return.
