   Check Universal Tractor Transmission Oil (UTTO) level and condition, and inspect for a blocked hydraulic/transmission filter

   Inspect the wiring harness, connector, and solenoid at Valve 7 for corrosion, damage, or loose pins

   Inspect the remote couplers and hoses for blockages or damage that could cause a dead or weak hydraulic response

   Verify that the electronic spool valve control switch/joystick in the cab is functioning and sending the correct signal to the valve

   Relieve Pressure

   Turn off the tractor and cycle the hydraulic controls to relieve all pressure from the system before servicing.

   Isolate the Valve

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 7 (the 'electric spool slice') on the rear hydraulic block.

   Remove the Valve

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the solenoid. Unbolt the spool valve slice from the hydraulic stack.

   Rebuild or Replace

   To rebuild: Disassemble the spool valve and install an OEM repair kit (replacing internal O-rings, seals, and checking the spool for scoring). To replace: Install a new electric spool slice. Note that on modern series (like the 7600/7700), a new electric spool slice may need to be programmed/calibrated to the tractor's ECU.

   Reassemble and Test

   Bolt the valve back into the stack, reconnect the wiring, top up the UTTO hydraulic fluid, and test the remote hydraulic function for leaks and proper operation.
