   Check the solenoid connector at the 7th hydraulic valve for dirt, moisture, or bent pins

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the valve for rub points, damage, or corrosion that could cause an open circuit or short to ground

   Use a multimeter to test the solenoid coil resistance to ensure it is within specification

   Verify that the ground connection for the valve block and solenoid is clean and secure

   Locate the Valve

   Identify External Hydraulic Valve 7 on the rear remote valve stack.

   Clean the Area

   Thoroughly clean the area around the valve to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

   Repair Wiring

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a broken wire or corroded connector, repair the harness or replace the pigtail connector.

   Replace the Solenoid

   If the wiring is intact but the solenoid failed the resistance test, remove the retaining nut/bolt holding the solenoid coil to the valve cartridge. Slide the old solenoid off and install the new one.

   Clear Codes and Test

   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.73.22 fault code. Start the tractor and actuate the 7th hydraulic remote to confirm the issue is resolved and the code does not return.
