Issue description
Malfunction in the Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) spool valve number 7, typically caused by a connection problem, a loss of calibration, a spool that cannot be brought back to neutral, or an internal failure of the valve's built-in processor.

Check the cause
Inspect the LED indicator on the electronic valve itself (red indicates power, green indicates input to move, flashing indicates an active fault).
Ensure the external linkage and the valve are in the center (neutral) position. A spool that cannot return to neutral will trigger an error.
Check the EHR enable relay and fuses. If intact, inspect the CAN-BUS wiring harness between the remote valves and the central controller for open circuits or shorts.
Verify if other low-pressure hydraulic components (PTO, FWD, or diff locks) are working. If they are also failing, the issue is a low-pressure supply problem rather than the valve itself.
Attempt to clear the code and perform an EHR valve renumbering/calibration procedure via the diagnostic terminal, as the central controller may have lost the calibration data for the spool valve.
Repair steps
Depressurize
Turn off the tractor and actuate the hydraulic controls to relieve all pressure from the system.
Disconnect Electronics
Unplug the CAN-BUS wiring harness connected to EHR Valve 7.
Remove the Valve
Unbolt the tie rods holding the hydraulic remote stack together. Carefully separate the stack to remove the faulty valve section (Valve 7).
Install the New Valve
Insert the replacement EHR spool valve section into the stack. Reinstall and torque the tie rods to the manufacturer's specifications.
Reprogram / Renumber the Valve
Use a compatible diagnostic tool or the tractor's terminal to perform the 'EHR valve renumbering procedure' so the processor knows it is valve No. 7 in the stack.
Test
Clear any remaining fault codes, start the tractor, and test the remote for proper flow and pressure (should be around 2900–3000 psi / 200–207 bar).
