   Record the exact error code number and note when it appears (e.g., cold start, under load, when hydraulics are activated)

   Check the battery voltage under load and verify the charging output, as low voltage can cause EHR and valve position errors

   Inspect the solenoid connector on External Hydraulic Valve 7 for harness rub points, damaged pins, or connection problems

   Measure the coil resistance of the valve's solenoid and check for ground integrity to rule out an open circuit or a short to ground

   Verify that the hydraulic fluid is at the correct level and that the hydraulic filter is not clogged

   Clear and Verify

   Connect a compatible diagnostic tool (such as Jaltest AGV) to the tractor's diagnostic port to read the ECU failure memory. Clear the code and operate the tractor to see if the fault returns.

   Electrical Repair

   If the diagnostic checks reveal a wiring issue, repair the damaged harness rub points or replace the faulty solenoid connector.

   Solenoid/Valve Replacement

   If the wiring is intact but the solenoid coil resistance is out of spec, replace the solenoid actuator on Valve 7. If the valve itself is internally damaged or leaking, the external hydraulic spool valve assembly must be replaced.

   Fluid Maintenance

   If the hydraulic fluid is degraded or the filter is clogged, drain the fluid, replace the Massey Ferguson Hydraulic Filter, and refill with Massey Ferguson Premium Hydraulic Fluid.

   Calibration

   After replacing electronic hydraulic components, use the diagnostic tool to calibrate the new valve/actuator to ensure correct operation with the ECU.
