   Use a compatible diagnostic tool or interface device to retrieve and verify the active DTCs

   Inspect the electrical wiring harness, connectors, and pins leading to External Hydraulic Valve 8 for corrosion, loose fittings, or damaged wires

   Ensure the hydraulic fluid is at the correct level and that the correct type of universal tractor hydraulic fluid is being used

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery

   Ensure safety while working on the electrical system.

   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 8

   Locate the valve on the rear hydraulic remote stack.

   Disconnect the electrical connector at the valve

   Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and check for pushed-out pins.

   Repair or replace damaged wiring

   Repair or replace any damaged sections of the wiring harness leading to the valve.

   Replace the electric spool slice (valve)

   If the wiring and connections are sound, the electric spool slice (valve) itself has likely failed internally and must be replaced.

   Clear DTCs and test

   After replacing the valve or repairing the connection, use a diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs and test the hydraulic remote for proper operation. Note that some replacement electric spool valves require programming to the tractor.
