Massey Ferguson A.80.22: External Hydraulic Valve 8 Issue

Issue description

This indicates a performance fault, restriction, or failure associated with the 8th external hydraulic remote/spool valve on the tractor.

Inspect the hydraulic oil filter and transmission filter for blockages, which can restrict oil flow and trigger valve faults.
Check the hydraulic oil for contamination, dirt, or degradation.
Look for blocked or damaged hydraulic couplers or worn hoses that might be restricting pressure to the 8th remote.
Verify if the spool valve itself is physically sticky or if there is a pressure-related fault at the relief valve.

Retrieve and Verify
Use a compatible diagnostic tool to confirm the DTC is isolated to Valve 8 and check for any secondary pressure codes.
Perform Basic Maintenance
If the hydraulic fluid is dirty or filters are blocked, replace the hydraulic/transmission filters and flush the fluid.
Reseal the Valve (If Leaking/Faulty)
If the issue is isolated to a leaking or internally bypassing remote valve (commonly Bosch SB23 valves on CCLS/TFLS systems), you do not necessarily need to replace the entire valve.
Install Seal Kit
Use a specialized spool valve replacement/reseal kit to replace the internal seals of the affected valve.
Clear Codes and Test
Reassemble the valve block, clear the A.80.22 code using the diagnostic tool, and actuate the 8th remote to ensure proper flow and pressure without dead/slow responses.
