Check the cause
Check for Shared System Issues: Verify that the issue is isolated to Valve 8. If multiple spools or the hydraulic lift are weak, the fault may be connected to shared oil, low pressure, a worn pump, or a blocked hydraulic filter.
Inspect for External/Internal Leaks: Check the implement hoses, couplers, and the auxiliary valve itself for visible leaks. Internal leakage in the lift cover, O-rings, or the valve distributor can divert oil away from where it is needed.
Check Oil Level and Quality: Ensure hydraulic fluid is at the correct level and viscosity. Low oil or cavitation can trigger hydraulic performance faults.
Electrical Connection Check: Since this is an electronically monitored valve, check the wiring harness and connectors leading to External Valve 8 for corrosion, damage, or a loose connection (similar codes like 0A.41.FF specifically denote connection problems on hydraulic valves).
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Ensure the tractor is off, implements are lowered, and hydraulic pressure is fully relieved from the system.
Access the Valve Block
Locate the rear remote valve block / distribution valves.
Disassembly
Remove the hydraulic lines connected to Valve 8. Unbolt the specific spool valve section from the distribution block.
Seal Replacement
If the valve is mechanically sticking or leaking internally, disassemble the valve distributor and replace the internal O-rings and seals using an OEM spool valve repair kit.
Reassembly and Clearing
Reinstall the valve, reconnect the hoses, top off the hydraulic fluid, and use a diagnostic scan tool to clear code 0A.82.21 from the system.
