   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool or interface device to retrieve the codes and confirm if A.82.1A is active or stored

   Check the sensor readings for Valve 8 to ensure it is reporting the correct physical position of the spool

   Verify the CAN bus communication and wiring harnesses between the dash, the tractor's main ECU, and the hydraulic valve modules (e.g., Mid Mount Valve Module) to rule out a loss of communication

   Inspect wiring and connectors

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors at External Hydraulic Valve 8 for corrosion, damage, or loose pins.

   Test sensor

   Test the spool position sensor for Valve 8.

   Replace components

   Replace the spool position sensor or the entire external hydraulic valve assembly if internal electrical/mechanical failure is confirmed.

   Clear DTCs
