Massey Ferguson A.82.29: External Hydraulic Valve 8 Issue
Issue description
The tractor's onboard diagnostic system has detected a malfunction, fault, or communication error specifically within the circuit or operation of the 8th external hydraulic remote valve.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector plugging into External Hydraulic Valve 8 for corrosion, bent pins, or damaged wires
Inspect the valve block and surrounding hydraulic lines for external fluid leaks
Verify that the tractor's hydraulic fluid is at the correct level and free of heavy contamination
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Lower all implements to the ground and actuate the hydraulic controls to relieve any residual pressure in the system.
Fluid Management
Depending on the valve's location on the lift cover or rear remote stack, you may need to drain a portion of the hydraulic reservoir or place a catch basin underneath to catch leaking fluid.
Disconnect Electricals
Unplug the electrical harness connector from Valve 8.
Disconnect Lines
Remove the hydraulic hoses/lines connected to the valve. Cap the lines immediately to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.
Remove the Valve
Unbolt the faulty external hydraulic valve from the remote valve stack or mounting bracket.
Install the New Valve
Mount the replacement valve and torque the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
Reconnect
Reattach the hydraulic lines and plug in the electrical connector.
Refill and Bleed
Top off the hydraulic fluid to the proper level. Start the tractor and operate the valve to bleed air from the system.
Clear Codes
Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.82.29 code from the system.
