Issue description
Malfunction associated with the 8th external hydraulic remote (spool valve). The underlying condition is typically an electrical circuit failure (such as a voltage drop, open circuit, or short in the valve's solenoid), a communication error with the valve's actuator, or a mechanical binding/sticking of the spool valve that prevents it from actuating properly when commanded.

Check the cause
Verify the hydraulic fluid level and condition. Low or contaminated fluid can cause valve sticking.
Inspect External Valve 8 at the rear remote block for physical damage or severe fluid leaks.
Disconnect the electrical connector at the Valve 8 solenoid. Inspect for bent pins, corrosion, or moisture.
Use a multimeter to check the resistance of the solenoid coil against OEM specs. Check the harness side for proper voltage when the valve is commanded via the cab controls.
If the electrical readings are normal, temporarily swap the solenoid or the electrical connection with an adjacent working valve (e.g., Valve 7) to see if the fault code follows the electrical connection or stays with the mechanical valve.
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Lower all implements to the ground, turn off the engine, and cycle the hydraulic remote levers/buttons in the cab to relieve all residual hydraulic pressure.
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts and clear volatile memory.
Isolate the Valve
Thoroughly clean the exterior of the hydraulic valve block to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system. Have a catch pan ready for fluid loss.
Disconnect Lines and Harness
Unplug the electrical harness from the Valve 8 solenoid. Disconnect the hydraulic lines attached to the specific spool valve.
Remove the Valve
Unbolt the spool valve assembly from the main hydraulic manifold/stack.
Rebuild or Replace
If rebuilding: Disassemble the spool valve on a clean workbench. Inspect the spool for scoring. Replace all internal O-rings and seals using an OEM seal kit. If replacing: Prepare the new OEM spool valve assembly.
Reinstallation
Mount the rebuilt or new valve back onto the manifold. Torque the mounting bolts to OEM specifications.
Reconnect
Reattach the hydraulic lines and plug in the electrical harness.
Test
Reconnect the battery, top off the hydraulic fluid, and start the tractor. Actuate Valve 8 to bleed air from the system. Check for leaks and verify that the A.83.19 code has cleared.
