Check the cause
Inspect the X450 motor wiring harness for chafing, breaks, or short circuits
Check the Air Conditioning Control Module connections (specifically the blue X439 and yellow X440 connectors) for loose pins or corrosion
Test the X450 motor for proper resistance and verify it receives voltage from the control module when the climate control temperature is adjusted
Inspect the physical right-hand heating shutter/flap door for mechanical binding or debris, which can cause an overcurrent output error at the motor
Repair steps
Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
Access the HVAC distribution box (typically located in the cab roof on these series, as indicated by the associated roof harness earth X455).
Locate the right-hand heating shutter motor (Component X450) on the side of the heater box.
Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the X450 motor.
Remove the mounting screws securing the actuator motor to the HVAC housing.
Remove the motor and manually actuate the heating shutter door to ensure it moves freely without binding.
Align the shaft of the new shutter motor with the flap receptacle and secure it with the mounting screws.
Reconnect the electrical harness to the motor.
Reassemble the cab roof/HVAC access panels.
Reconnect the battery, turn on the tractor, and cycle the climate control system to verify the AC20 code clears and the right-hand heating shutter operates correctly.
