Massey Ferguson AC30 – AIRCON (Air Conditioning / Climate Control) Module: Issue With Signal To Right Cab Fan Speed Controller
Issue description
The signal from the Right-hand fan adapter module (component X444) is outside of its normal operating range, which prevents the climate control system from accurately regulating the speed of the right-side blower motor.

Check the cause
Inspect the right-hand fan adapter module connectors (X444 and X446) in the cab roof for loose pins, moisture intrusion, or corrosion.
Check the main AIRCON module connections (blue connector X439 and yellow connector X440) to ensure the signal wire has continuity from the roof down to the ECU.
Use a multimeter to test the signal wire between the AIRCON module and the X444 connector for open circuits, high resistance, or a short to ground.
Inspect the right-hand blower motor to verify it spins freely by hand and does not draw excessive amperage, which can damage the fan speed controller.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.
Access the HVAC Unit
Remove the inner cab roof liner or the exterior roof hatch (depending on the specific tractor model) to access the HVAC blower assembly.
Locate the Controller
Locate the right-hand fan adapter module (speed controller) mounted near the right blower motor.
Remove the Faulty Module
Disconnect the X444 and X446 wiring harnesses from the module. Remove the mounting screws securing the module to the HVAC housing.
Install the New Module
Mount the replacement fan speed controller and secure the screws. Reconnect the wiring harnesses, ensuring the connectors click firmly into place.
Reassemble and Test
Reinstall the cab roof liner/hatch. Reconnect the battery. Turn the ignition on and test the climate control system, ensuring the right-hand fan responds correctly to all manual speed adjustments.
Clear Codes
Use a diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard terminal to clear the AC30 / 10.X.30 fault code from the AIRCON module.
