AC32

Massey Ferguson AC32 – Air Conditioning Control Module (AIRCON): Issue With Signal To Right Cab Fan Speed Controller (AIRCON)

Issue description

The system has detected that the return signal from the right-hand fan adapter module (designated in wiring diagrams as component X444) is outside of its normal operating range.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness leading to the right-hand fan adapter module (X444) for any physical damage, chafing, or pinched wires.

  2. Check the connectors at the fan speed controller and the Air Conditioning Control Module for corrosion, backed-out pins, or loose connections.

  3. Use a multimeter to measure the return signal voltage from the right cab fan speed controller to verify if it is genuinely out of range or if the module has failed.

  4. Ensure the right-hand blower motor itself is not seized or drawing excessive current, which could cause the speed controller to output a faulty return signal.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts while working on the HVAC system.

  2. Access the HVAC Unit

Remove the necessary cab roof panels or headliner components to access the air conditioning and heating assembly.

  3. Locate Component X444

Locate the right-hand fan adapter module (fan speed controller), which is typically mounted near or directly on the right-hand blower motor housing.

  4. Repair Wiring (If Applicable)

If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged wiring or corroded connectors, repair the wiring harness or replace the connector pigtails.

  5. Replace the Controller

If the wiring is intact but the return signal remains out of range, remove the mounting screws for the right-hand fan adapter module, disconnect it, and install a new unit.

  6. Reassembly

Reconnect the battery and reassemble the cab roof panels.

  7. Clear Codes and Test

Use a diagnostic tool to clear the AC32 / 10.00.32 fault code. Run the tractor and test the air conditioning system, ensuring the right-hand fan operates smoothly across all speed settings.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Right Cab Fan Speed Controller / Right-Hand Fan Adapter Module (X444)

Specific OEM part numbers for the module are not publicly listed in the standard fault code documentation. Look up the specific part number in the AGCO parts catalog using the tractor's serial number.
