Massey Ferguson B.00.04 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit
Issue description
The control system is trying to send an electrical signal to the solenoid that controls the mid-mount hydraulic valve (used for the front-end loader), but it is detecting an "open circuit" (no electrical continuity). This is almost always caused by a disconnected wiring harness, a broken wire, severely corroded connector pins, or a burnt-out solenoid coil.

Check the cause
Visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the solenoids on the mid-mount valve block for physical damage, rubbing, or breaks.
Unplug the connector at the affected solenoid and check for water ingress, pushed-back pins, or corrosion.
Perform a coil resistance test using a digital multimeter across the two pins of the solenoid coil. An 'OL' (Open Loop) or infinite reading indicates a broken internal coil.
If the coil tests good, perform a harness continuity test from the solenoid connector back to the Mid Mount Valve Module to locate any broken wires.
Repair steps
Turn off the tractor, lower the loader to the ground to relieve hydraulic pressure, and disconnect the battery.
Locate the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block.
Disconnect the electrical wiring harness plug from the faulty solenoid.
Remove the retaining nut at the end of the valve stem that holds the solenoid coil in place.
Slide the faulty solenoid coil off the valve cartridge stem.
There is usually no need to open the hydraulic circuit or remove the valve cartridge itself, meaning no fluid will leak.
Slide the new solenoid coil onto the stem.
Reinstall and tighten the retaining nut to secure the coil.
Reconnect the electrical plug.
Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and operate the loader joystick to verify functionality and ensure the B.00.04 code clears.
