Massey Ferguson B.00.07 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The control module has detected an open circuit (a break in the electrical path) in the circuit supplying power or ground to the solenoid on the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve, which controls loader functions.

   Inspect the wiring harness running from the Mid Mount Valve Module to the loader valve block (typically located under the right-hand side of the cab) for pinched, chafed, or severed wires.

   Disconnect the plug at the mid-mount electro valve solenoid and check for pushed-back pins, water ingress, or heavy corrosion.

   Using a digital multimeter, measure the resistance (Ohms) across the two pins of the solenoid coil. An 'OL' (Open Loop) reading indicates the internal coil is broken/burned out. A normal reading (5-15 ohms) indicates the fault lies in the wiring harness or module.

   Check for continuity between the solenoid connector and the Mid Mount Valve Module harness connector to isolate a broken wire.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical spikes.

   Access the Valve

   Locate the mid-mount valve block assembly. Clean the area around the affected solenoid to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

   Wiring Repair

   If a broken wire was found during diagnostics, splice and solder the wire, then seal it with dual-wall heat shrink tubing.

   Solenoid Replacement

   Disconnect the electrical connector from the faulty solenoid. Remove the retaining nut holding the solenoid coil to the valve stem. Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve cartridge (you do not need to open the hydraulic system or remove the cartridge valve itself). Slide the new solenoid coil onto the stem and tighten the retaining nut to OEM torque specs (do not overtighten).

   Reassembly & Clearing Codes

   Reconnect the electrical plug. Reconnect the battery. Turn the key to the ON position and use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic interface tool to clear the inactive 0B.00.07 code. Test loader functions to ensure the code does not return.
