Massey Ferguson B.00.08 – Implement/Hydraulic Control Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Low Amp Draw

The electrical current (amperage) flowing through the solenoid coil that controls the mid-mount loader hydraulic valve is lower than the minimum threshold expected by the system. This condition is almost always caused by an electrical issue such as an open circuit, a disconnected or broken wire, severe corrosion at the connector, or a burnt-out/failed solenoid coil.

   Visual Inspection: Locate the mid-mount electro valve block (usually mounted under the right side of the cab/platform). Inspect the wiring harness and the specific connector plugging into the solenoid for physical damage, pulled wires, or corrosion.

   Coil Resistance Test: Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid. Use a digital multimeter to measure the resistance (Ohms) across the two pins of the solenoid coil. If the reading is 'OL' (Open Loop) or infinitely high, the internal coil is broken and the solenoid must be replaced.

   Harness Voltage/Continuity Test: With the tractor key ON and the loader joystick commanded, check for voltage at the harness-side connector. If no voltage is present, the issue is likely a broken wire in the harness between the ECU and the valve, rather than the solenoid itself.

   Relieve Pressure

   Turn off the tractor engine. Move the loader joystick in all directions to relieve any trapped hydraulic pressure in the mid-mount valve block.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty solenoid on the mid-mount valve.

   Remove the Coil

   Remove the retaining nut or clip at the end of the valve stem that holds the solenoid coil in place.

   Swap the Part

   Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve cartridge stem. (Note: You usually do not need to remove the hydraulic valve cartridge itself, meaning no hydraulic fluid should leak).

   Install

   Slide the new solenoid coil onto the stem and secure it with the retaining nut/clip. Do not overtighten the nut, as this can distort the coil.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical connector back in.

   Clear Codes

   Start the tractor, test the loader function, and use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the 0B.00.08 inactive fault code.
