Massey Ferguson B.00.11 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Low Amp Draw

The control module is detecting a lower-than-expected electrical current (amperage) when it commands the loader's mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve solenoid to activate, pointing to high electrical resistance or a complete open circuit.

   Visually inspect the mid-mount valve block wiring harness for chafing, pinches, or rodent damage

   Unplug the connector at the affected solenoid and check for water intrusion, dirt, corroded pins, or poor pin tension

   Perform a coil resistance test (Ohms) across the two pins of the solenoid coil; an 'OL' (Open Loop) or unusually high reading indicates a broken internal coil

   With the connector unplugged and key ON, have an operator actuate the loader joystick to verify the harness is delivering proper voltage and has a solid ground

   Safety First

   Lower the loader to the ground to relieve hydraulic pressure. Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate the Valve

   Access the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block. Clean the area around the faulty solenoid to prevent dirt from entering the valve assembly.

   Disconnect Wiring

   Unplug the electrical harness connector from the faulty solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid Coil

   Remove the retaining nut or cap at the end of the valve stem holding the solenoid in place.

   Slide Off the Coil

   Slide the faulty solenoid coil off the hydraulic cartridge stem.

   Install the New Part

   Slide the new OEM solenoid coil onto the stem. Reinstall and tighten the retaining nut to the manufacturer's torque specification (do not overtighten).

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical connector back into the new solenoid.

   Test

   Reconnect the battery. Start the tractor, clear the stored fault codes via the dash display or diagnostic tool, and test the loader joystick to confirm smooth operation.
