Issue description
The control module is receiving an erratic, out-of-range, or missing electrical signal from the sensor responsible for monitoring the physical position of the hydraulic spool valve.

Check the cause
Check the wiring harness and connector at the spool position sensor for dirty, worn, or badly positioned terminals
Verify if the sensor earth (ground) circuit is open
Check if the input signal circuit is open or short-circuited to a 12V power source
Ensure there are no underlying communication errors between the Dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent short circuits.
Wiring Repair
If the diagnostic checks reveal damaged wiring or corroded pins at the sensor connector, clean the terminals or splice in a repair harness.
Sensor Replacement
If the wiring is intact but the sensor value remains out of range, the spool position sensor itself has failed internally and must be removed from the hydraulic valve block and replaced.
Valve Calibration
After replacing the sensor or repairing the connection, you must perform a valve calibration procedure using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool.
Clear Codes
Clear the DTCs from the system and test the hydraulic/loader functions to ensure the spool position reads correctly.
