Issue description
The tractor's onboard diagnostic system has detected an abnormal, missing, or out-of-range electrical signal from the spool position sensor. This sensor provides precise, real-time feedback on the physical position of the hydraulic spool valve. When the controller commands the valve to move (e.g., via the cab joystick) but the sensor reports an implausible position or no voltage, this code is triggered.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the mid-mount valve block (usually under the right side of the cab) for rub points, damaged wires, or corrosion in the sensor connector.
Test the sensor circuit for an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power. Verify the sensor is receiving the correct reference voltage from the module.
Check for mechanical binding to ensure the physical spool valve is not sticking due to debris or hydraulic pressure locking (if jammed, the sensor accurately reports no movement).
Monitor the live voltage of the spool position sensor using a diagnostic tool (like Massey Ferguson EDT or Wintest) while moving the joystick to see if the signal drops out or spikes erratically.
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and move the loader joystick in all directions to relieve residual hydraulic pressure.
Locate the Sensor
Locate the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block and identify the faulty spool position sensor (usually mounted on the end cap of the spool).
Remove the Sensor
Disconnect the electrical harness. Thoroughly clean the area around the sensor to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system, then unbolt/unscrew the sensor from the valve body.
Install the New Sensor
Fit the replacement sensor and torque it to OEM specifications. Reconnect the electrical harness.
Calibrate the Valve
CRITICAL STEP. You must connect a dealer diagnostic tool (EDT) and perform a "Spool Valve Calibration" (Spool Cal). This teaches the module the new sensor's neutral and end-of-stroke voltage values. Failure to calibrate will likely result in codes 0B.00.22 or 0B.00.23.
Test
Start the tractor and test the loader functions to ensure smooth operation and verify the code has cleared.
