Massey Ferguson B.01.01 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The tractor's onboard diagnostic system has detected a break in the electrical circuit (an open circuit) that supplies power or ground to the solenoid responsible for operating the loader's mid-mount electro valve.

   Check the wiring harness leading from the Mid Mount Valve Module to the electro valve for severed wires, chafing, or breaks.

   Inspect the solenoid connector at the mid-mount valve block for loose pins, disconnected wires, or heavy corrosion.

   Test the solenoid coil itself to ensure it has not failed internally (which would break the circuit and cause an open reading).

   Locate valve block

   Locating the mid-mount electro valve block on the tractor (often tied to the joystick control block).

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnecting the electrical harness from the affected loader solenoid.

   Repair wiring or connectors

   Repairing any broken wires or replacing damaged connectors in the harness.

   Replace solenoid

   If the wiring is intact but the solenoid coil is internally broken, removing the retaining mechanism and replacing the electro valve solenoid.

   Clear DTCs

   Using a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs from the system after the repair is complete.
