Massey Ferguson B.01.02 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Low Amp Draw

The control module is detecting that the electrical current (amperage) flowing through the solenoid circuit for the mid-mount loader valve is lower than the expected minimum threshold. This condition is almost always caused by high electrical resistance in the circuit, such as a failing solenoid coil, a broken/chafed wire, a loose connection, or severe corrosion at the connector.

   Inspect the wiring harness running from the Mid Mount Valve Module to the loader valve block for pinched wires, chafing, or breaks.

   Disconnect the electrical pigtail at the affected mid-mount valve solenoid and check for water ingress, dirt, or corroded pins.

   Using a multimeter, measure the resistance across the two pins of the solenoid coil. An unusually high resistance reading or an 'OL' (open loop) confirms the internal coil winding has failed.

   Check the harness side of the connector for proper voltage and a solid ground when the loader joystick is actuated.

   Preparation

   Park the tractor on a level surface, lower the loader completely to the ground to relieve all hydraulic pressure, turn off the engine, and disconnect the battery.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block (typically mounted under the right side of the cab or on the loader subframe).

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid Coil

   Remove the retaining nut at the end of the valve stem that holds the solenoid coil in place.

   Replace

   Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve cartridge stem. Slide the new replacement coil onto the stem.

   Reassemble

   Reinstall the retaining nut. Note: Do not overtighten the nut, as excessive torque can distort the valve cartridge and cause the spool to bind.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical connector back into the new solenoid.

   Test

   Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and operate the loader joystick to verify that full function is restored and the fault code clears.
