Massey Ferguson B.01.07 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The tractor's onboard diagnostic system has detected a break in the electrical circuit (an open circuit) to the solenoid responsible for controlling the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve, which operates the front-end loader.

   Inspect the wiring harness running from the Mid Mount Valve Module to the loader mid-mount valve block for any severed wires, chafing, or rodent damage.

   Disconnect the electrical plug at the mid-mount valve solenoid and check for corroded, backed-out, or bent pins.

   Using a multimeter, measure the resistance (Ohms) across the pins of the solenoid coil itself. An infinite reading (OL) confirms the coil has failed internally and is causing the open circuit.

   Check for continuity on the ground wire and verify that the module is sending the correct voltage to the solenoid when the loader joystick is actuated.

   Safety First

   Lower the loader to the ground to relieve all hydraulic pressure from the mid-mount valve circuit. Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the mid-mount valve block (typically mounted under the right side of the cab or along the chassis frame).

   Clear Access

   If necessary, remove any protective covers or brackets blocking access to the valve block.

   Disconnect Electricals

   Unplug the wiring harness connector from the faulty loader solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid

   Remove the retaining nut at the end of the solenoid stem and slide the faulty electromagnetic coil off the valve spool cartridge. (Note: If the entire cartridge valve needs replacing, you will need to disconnect the mid-mount hydraulic pipes first and unthread the cartridge from the block).

   Install New Part

   Slide the new solenoid coil onto the stem and tighten the retaining nut to OEM torque specs.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical harness, reinstall any removed covers, and reconnect the battery.

   Testing

   Start the tractor, test the loader joystick for proper operation, and use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear the B.01.07 / 0B.01.07 DTC from the system.
