Massey Ferguson B.01.09 – Mid Mount Valve Module and/or Dash: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid High Amp Draw

A "High Amp Draw" indicates that the electrical circuit for the loader's mid-mount electro valve solenoid is pulling more current than the system expects. This typically points to a short circuit to ground in the wiring harness, an internally shorted solenoid coil, or a failed component drawing excessive electrical current.

   Inspect the Mid-Mount Valve Wiring Harness/Loom for chafing, melted insulation, or pinched wires that could be causing a short to ground

   Disconnect the mid-mount electro valve solenoid and measure the resistance (ohms) across the coil pins. A reading of zero or near-zero indicates the solenoid coil is internally shorted

   Check the connector pins at both the solenoid and the Mid Mount Valve Module for corrosion, water ingress, or damage that could bridge the pins and cause a short circuit

   Ensure the tractor is turned off and the battery is disconnected before servicing the electrical system.

   If the wiring harness is damaged, repair the shorted wires or replace the Mid-Mount Valve Wiring Harness.

   If the solenoid failed the resistance test, remove the retaining nut/hardware on the mid-mount valve block and slide the faulty solenoid coil off the valve stem. Install the new solenoid coil.

   Reconnect all electrical connections securely.

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool or interface device to clear the 0B.01.09 DTC from the tractor's memory.

   Test the loader functions to ensure the high amp draw condition has been resolved and the code does not return.
