Massey Ferguson B.01.13 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Supply Solenoid Open Circuit

The onboard diagnostic system has detected an open circuit (a break in the electrical path or a disconnected wire) in the supply circuit to the solenoid that controls the loader's mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading from the tractor cab/dash down to the mid-mount valve block for any obvious signs of chafing, broken wires, or disconnected plugs

   Disconnect and inspect the electrical connector at the mid-mount electro valve supply solenoid for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or moisture

   Using a multimeter, check the resistance across the pins of the supply solenoid coil to verify if it has failed internally (infinite resistance indicates an open circuit)

   Verify that voltage is being sent from the loader selector switch in the cab to the valve module when activated

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and remove the key to ensure no power is running to the mid-mount valve module.

   Access the Valve

   Locate the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block (typically mounted on the right side of the tractor chassis below the cab).

   Repair Wiring (If Applicable)

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a broken wire in the harness between the dash and the valve module, splice and seal the wire using OEM-approved waterproof connectors.

   Replace Solenoid (If Applicable)

   If the solenoid coil tested open: Disconnect the electrical plug from the faulty supply solenoid. Remove the retaining nut holding the solenoid coil to the valve stem. Slide the old coil off and slide the new coil on. Tighten the retaining nut and reconnect the electrical plug.

   Clear Codes

   Use a compatible diagnostic tool or interface device to clear the DTC from the tractor's onboard diagnostic system and test loader operation.
