B.01.22

Massey Ferguson B.01.22 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Issue With Calibration OF Valves

Issue description

This code indicates that the tractor's onboard diagnostic system has detected a failure or out-of-range value during the calibration process of the electro-hydraulic valves, specifically related to the loader's mid-mount valve block.

Check the cause

  1. Check for accompanying spool position sensor codes (0B.X.17 through 0B.X.21) or solenoid amp draw/open circuit codes (0B.X.01 through 0B.X.15) which indicate a hard electrical fault.

  2. Verify there is no communication loss between the Dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module (Code 0B.X.16).

  3. Ensure the hydraulic fluid is at the correct level and has reached normal operating temperature, as cold or low fluid can cause sluggish valve response.

  4. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors at the loader mid-mount electro valve for corrosion, moisture, or physical damage.

Repair steps

  1. Warm Up the System

Start the tractor and operate the hydraulics until the fluid reaches normal operating temperature.

  2. Clear Inactive Codes

Use a compatible diagnostic tool to clear any stored, inactive codes to ensure you are diagnosing a current fault.

  3. Run Calibration

Access the tractor's calibration menu (via the dash interface or a dealer diagnostic laptop) and initiate the mid-mount valve calibration procedure.

  4. Monitor Spool Sensors

During calibration, monitor the spool position sensor values. If the values do not change smoothly or fall out of the expected voltage range, the sensor or the solenoid is sticking.

  5. Replace Faulty Components

If the calibration repeatedly fails on a specific valve, replace the corresponding electro-valve solenoid or spool position sensor.

  6. Re-Calibrate

After replacing the faulty solenoid or sensor, re-run the valve calibration procedure to marry the new component to the module.
