Massey Ferguson B.02.01 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit
Issue description
The diagnostic system has detected an open circuit in the electrical circuit for the solenoid that controls the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve for the loader. An "open circuit" indicates infinite resistance or a lack of electrical continuity, which is usually caused by a broken wire, a disconnected plug, or a burnt-out solenoid coil.

Check the cause
Visually inspect the wiring harness running between the Mid Mount Valve Module and the loader valve solenoid for breaks, chafing, or disconnected plugs.
Inspect the solenoid electrical connector for corrosion, bent pins, or moisture ingress.
Unplug the solenoid and measure the resistance of the coil using a multimeter. An infinite reading (OL) confirms the coil itself is open and has failed.
Verify that voltage is being supplied from the loader selector switch/module to the solenoid when activated.
Repair steps
Turn off the tractor, lower the loader to the ground, and relieve all hydraulic pressure.
Locate the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block.
Typically mounted on the right side of the tractor frame under the cab.
Disconnect the electrical connector to the affected solenoid.
If the wiring harness is damaged, repair or replace the affected section.
If the solenoid coil tested open, remove the retaining nut holding the solenoid coil to the hydraulic valve stem.
Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve cartridge.
Slide the new solenoid coil onto the stem and tighten the retaining nut.
Reconnect the electrical connector.
Clear the fault codes using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool and test the loader operation.
