Massey Ferguson B.02.07 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The control module has detected a break in the electrical circuit (infinite resistance/no continuity) to the solenoid responsible for actuating the mid-mount loader valve. Because the circuit is open, the solenoid cannot energize, resulting in a loss of specific loader functions.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the mid-mount valve block for chafing, cuts, or torn weather boots

   Disconnect the electrical plug at the affected solenoid and check for bent pins, corrosion, or moisture intrusion

   Measure the resistance across the pins of the solenoid coil using a multimeter (if it reads 'OL' or infinite resistance, the internal coil is broken)

   With the tractor key ON and the loader joystick actuated, check for voltage and ground at the harness connector to rule out harness damage

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, relieve hydraulic pressure by moving the joystick in all directions, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block on the tractor chassis.

   Disconnect Wiring

   Unplug the wiring harness connector from the faulty solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid

   Remove the retaining nut or cap screw located at the end of the solenoid stem.

   Swap the Coil

   Slide the faulty solenoid coil off the hydraulic valve cartridge tube. (Note: You usually do not need to open the hydraulic system or remove the cartridge stem to replace the electromagnetic coil).

   Install New Part

   Slide the new replacement solenoid coil onto the stem. Install and tighten the retaining nut. Do not overtighten, as this can crush the plastic coil housing and cause premature failure.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical connector back in, ensuring the weather seal clicks into place.

8. 8

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery. Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool/interface to clear the B.02.07 / 0B.02.07 DTC from the module's memory.

   Test

   Start the tractor and test the loader joystick functions to verify the repair.
