Massey Ferguson B.X.07 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The control module is not detecting electrical continuity through the solenoid coil responsible for actuating the mid-mount hydraulic valve (which controls the front-end loader). An "open circuit" typically indicates a broken wire, an unplugged connector, or a burned-out internal winding within the solenoid coil itself.

   Locate the mid-mount valve block (typically mounted under the right side of the cab/chassis) and visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the solenoids for chafing, cuts, or pinch points.

   Disconnect the electrical plug at the affected solenoid and check for water ingress, corrosion, or backed-out pins.

   Using a digital multimeter, measure the resistance (Ohms) across the two pins of the solenoid coil. If the multimeter reads 'OL' (Open Loop) or infinite resistance, the coil is internally broken.

   With the key on and the loader joystick actuated, check for voltage at the harness connector to ensure the Mid Mount Valve Module is successfully sending power to the valve.

   Depressurize the System

   Turn off the tractor. Move the loader joystick in all directions to relieve any residual hydraulic pressure in the mid-mount valve block.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent short circuits.

   Locate the Valve

   Access the mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve block.

   Remove the Solenoid

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty solenoid. Remove the retaining nut or cap at the end of the solenoid cartridge.

   Swap the Coil

   Slide the faulty solenoid coil off the valve stem. (Be careful not to remove the actual hydraulic valve cartridge unless it is leaking or mechanically stuck, as this will release hydraulic fluid).

   Install the New Part

   Slide the new solenoid coil onto the stem, secure it with the retaining nut, and plug the electrical connector back in.

   Test

   Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, clear the inactive fault codes via the dash, and test the loader functions for proper operation.
