Check the cause
Check the wiring harness between the Mid Mount Valve Module and the spool position sensor for open circuits, chafing, or connection problems.
Verify that the sensor is receiving its required 5V (± 2%) reference voltage from the module.
Back-probe the sensor signal wire. It should read approximately 2.5V (± 0.2V) when the spool is in the neutral position. A reading of 0V or 5V indicates a shorted or dead sensor.
Check the Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoids for high or low amp draw, as electrical failures in the solenoids can sometimes accompany or mimic sensor value faults.
Repair steps
Relieve Hydraulic Pressure
Turn off the tractor and cycle the hydraulic joystick/controls to relieve any residual pressure in the mid-mount valve block.
Disconnect the Sensor
Locate the mid-mount valve block (usually under the right-hand side of the cab or near the loader masts). Disconnect the electrical pigtail from the faulty spool position sensor.
Remove the Sensor
Unbolt/unscrew the spool position sensor from the end of the hydraulic valve housing.
Install the New Sensor
Lubricate the O-ring on the new sensor with clean hydraulic fluid. Thread it into the valve body and tighten to the manufacturer's torque specification.
Reconnect and Calibrate
