B.X.24

Massey Ferguson B.X.24 – Cab Control Module or Implement/Hydraulic ECU: Issue With Voltage From Loader Selector Switch In Cab

Issue description

Indicates an electrical anomaly—such as an open circuit, a short to ground, or a short to power—in the circuit that connects the loader selector switch (used to toggle loader functions or auxiliary hydraulics) to the tractor's control system. The system is detecting a voltage reading outside the expected operational parameters.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the loader selector switch on the cab console/joystick for physical damage, sticking, or liquid intrusion.

  2. Trace the wiring harness from the switch down through the console. Look for chafed wires, pinched lines, or loose/corroded pins at the connector.

  3. Using a multimeter, verify that the switch is receiving the correct reference voltage from the ECU. Test the switch itself for proper continuity across its terminals when toggled.

  4. Verify that all fuses related to the cab controls and implement hydraulics are intact.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts while working inside the cab console.

  2. Access the Switch

Carefully pry up or unscrew the trim panel/armrest console housing the loader selector switch.

  3. Disconnect Harness

Unplug the electrical pigtail connector from the bottom of the switch.

  4. Remove the Switch

Depress the retaining tabs on the sides of the switch body (or remove the retaining screws) and push the switch out of the console bezel.

  5. Install New Part

Snap the new loader selector switch into the console panel.

  6. Reconnect

Plug the wiring harness back into the switch, ensuring the connector clicks securely into place.

  7. Reassemble

Reinstall the cab trim panel and secure all fasteners.

  8. Clear Codes

Reconnect the battery. Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the 0B.00.24 fault code from the system. Test the loader functions to verify the repair.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Loader Selector Switch (Cab)

When ordering through an AGCO/Massey Ferguson dealer, you must provide the tractor's serial number to ensure you receive the correct switch for your specific loader control package.
