Check the cause
Check the main connection under the armrest
Inspect connector X212 (Instrument panel harness/armrest harness junction)
Inspect connector X214 (Armrest harness/cab transmission harness junction)
Repair steps
Power down and disconnect battery
Power down the tractor and ensure the battery is disconnected to prevent short circuits while handling the wiring.
Locate main wiring harness
Locate the main wiring harness running beneath the multifunction armrest.
Disconnect main armrest harness
Disconnect the main armrest harness (FAI214) from its junction points (X212 and X214).
Inspect connector pins
Inspect the pins inside the connectors for bent pins, corrosion, or pushed-out terminals.
Inspect wiring loom
Inspect the wiring loom for any chafing, breaks, or pinch points where the armrest pivots or moves.
Clean contacts and reconnect
Clean the contacts, securely reconnect the harness under the armrest, and ensure the locking tabs on the connectors click into place.
Reconnect battery and verify
Reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, and verify via the Instrument Cluster if the D101 code has cleared. If the code persists and the wiring tests good for continuity, the armrest harness or the armrest control module itself may require replacement.
