Massey Ferguson D148 – Instrument Panel (DCC2 / X55): Instrument panel: Attempt to program with engine running

A procedural/software error indicating that an attempt was made to flash, reprogram, or load a new software program into the dashboard while the tractor's engine was actively running.

   Verify if a technician recently connected a diagnostic laptop (such as AGCO EDT or Wintest) and attempted to update the dashboard software

   Check if the operator or technician accidentally left the engine running during a software update

   Ensure the dashboard is not suffering from a voltage supply drop or wiring short that might trick the DCC2 into entering a programming state

   Stop the Engine

   Turn off the tractor completely to halt the engine.

   Set to Key-On, Engine-Off (KOEO)

   Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position to supply power to the DCC2 instrument panel, but do not crank or start the engine.

   Re-initiate Programming

   Using your authorized diagnostic tool, restart the software flash/programming procedure for the DCC2.

   Clear Codes

   Once the software load is successfully completed, cycle the ignition key off, wait a few seconds, and then start the engine. Verify that fault code D148 has moved to an inactive state and clear it from the system memory.
