Massey Ferguson E04 – ATC / Various: Incomplete Fault Code Prefix / ATC Control Potentiometer Defect
Issue description
E04 is not a complete fault code on its own; it acts as a prefix or menu indicator requiring a secondary number to form the full code. In the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system, it indicates a possible defect in the control potentiometer, causing the system to default to 22 °C (72 °F).

If E04 is flashing on the climate control screen (ATC system cause): Test the resistance of the temperature control potentiometer for dead spots or an open circuit
