E06

Massey Ferguson E06: Generic Error Display Prefix

Issue description

E06 is not a specific mechanical or electrical fault code. It is a generic display prefix on the instrument cluster alerting the operator that an error has been logged. The actual fault code is the secondary number displayed directly below E06.

Applies to these machines

  • 4707
  • 4708
  • 4709
  • 4710
  • T4 (2015-2021)

Check the cause

  1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position to power the instrument cluster

  2. Locate the E06 prefix on the digital display

  3. Record the specific multi-digit number displayed directly below E06

  4. Use that secondary number (e.g., 3526) to search the Massey Ferguson OEM service manual or fault code database to identify the actual failing circuit or sensor

  5. If the dash is malfunctioning or the secondary number is illegible, connect a heavy-duty diagnostic scanner (such as AGCO EDT or Jaltest) to the tractor's diagnostic port to pull the specific active ECU codes

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Instrument Cluster / Dashboard Display Unit

OEM part numbers vary heavily based on exact cab configuration and transmission type, requiring a VIN/Serial lookup in the AGCO parts catalog.
