Massey Ferguson E102 – Engine Control Unit (ECU): Boost Pressure / Boost Pressure Sensor Malfunction
Issue description
Indicates a malfunction related to the Boost Pressure or the Boost Pressure Sensor (Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure or MAP sensor). The system monitors the turbocharger boost pressure, and this code triggers when the actual pressure deviates from the target pressure or when the sensor signal is faulty.

Check the cause
Check the air filter: A heavily clogged air filter can cause a massive pressure drop in the intake system, triggering low boost codes.
Check the suction/intake hoses: Inspect all hoses between the air filter, turbocharger, intercooler, and intake manifold for cracks, leaks, or loose clamps.
Check the turbocharger wastegate: Ensure the wastegate is not sticking, which can cause overboost or underboost conditions.
Inspect the wiring: Check the electrical condition of the boost pressure sensor harness and connector for corrosion, shorts to ground, or broken wires.
Repair steps
Air System Maintenance
Remove and inspect the engine air filter. Replace it if it is dirty or clogged.
Visual Inspection
Inspect the intake plumbing for any physical damage or loose connections. Tighten any loose hose clamps.
Sensor Replacement
If the intake system is sealed and the wiring harness tests fine with a multimeter, the MAP/Boost Pressure Sensor itself has likely failed. Locate the sensor on the intake manifold.
Swap the Sensor
Disconnect the electrical connector, unbolt/unscrew the faulty sensor, and install the new OEM replacement.
Clear Codes
Turn on the ignition and use a diagnostic tool (or the dashboard interface, if applicable) to delete the error code from the control unit. Run the engine to verify the code does not return.
