Massey Ferguson E9027 – Engine Control Unit (ECU): Self-test disconnect lines

LOW processor voltage check on the self-test cut-off paths during the module's internal self-check.

• Massey Ferguson 8600 Series Tractors (8650, 8660, 8670, 8680, 8690)

   Check battery and system voltage to ensure connections are secure and providing proper voltage

   Inspect the 5V DC power supply lines to the ECU for voltage drops or wiring harness damage

   Test ECU main relays 1, 2, and 3 for shorts to earth or battery positive

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the tractor to the dealer-level diagnostic tool to view the instrument panel control unit data and run a forced ECU self-test.

   Inspect wiring harness

   Inspect and test the wiring harness leading to the ECU main relays.

   Replace ECU main relay

   Replace the ECU main relay if it is failing to provide adequate voltage to the processor.

   Replace Engine Control Unit

   If the wiring and relays are intact but the 'LOW processor voltage check' persists, the Engine Control Unit (ECU) itself has suffered an internal hardware failure and must be replaced and reprogrammed by an authorized dealer.
