No cam speed signal detected or an invalid signal is being received from the sensor. This prevents the system from accurately determining the camshaft's rotational speed and position, which is necessary to optimize fuel injection and ignition timing.

   Inspect the sensor wiring harness for defects, including reversed signal lines, open circuits, or short circuits between the sensor and the ECU

   Temporarily plug in a known-good camshaft speed sensor to determine if the original sensor is internally defective

   Inspect the camshaft trigger wheel for physical damage, as a defective wheel will fail to generate the necessary Hall-effect signal

   Locate sensor

   Locate the camshaft speed sensor on the engine block/timing cover.

   Inspect connector

   Disconnect the standard electrical connector and inspect the pins for corrosion or damage.

   Test wiring continuity

   Test the wiring continuity back to the Engine ECU to rule out harness damage.

   Remove sensor

   If the wiring is intact, remove the camshaft speed sensor fastener and extract the sensor.

   Inspect trigger wheel

   Inspect the trigger wheel through the sensor mounting hole for missing teeth or debris.

   Install new sensor

   If the trigger wheel is intact, install a new OEM camshaft speed sensor.

   Reconnect wiring

   Reconnect the wiring harness.

   Clear fault codes

   Clear the stored EEM fault codes using a diagnostic service tool (such as WinEEM3s/EEM4 software) and verify that the warning lamp is deactivated.
