The engine control system has been operating in an extended or general bypass state for its absolute maximum allowed duration of 400 hours, causing the tractor's computer to automatically activate emergency operation mode (engine power limited to 60%, maximum speed capped at 1500 rpm).

   Check the instrument cluster to confirm if the tractor is currently in derate/limp mode (power limited to 60%, max 1500 RPM).

   Pull all active and stored codes from the Instrument Panel Control Unit to identify the root cause that necessitated the bypass.

   Confirm if the machine has indeed been operating with an active bypass for the 400-hour threshold.

   Contact dealer

   Contact your dealer. Because this is a hardcoded software lockout rather than a mechanical failure, it cannot be fixed with standard hand tools and requires dealer intervention.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   A technician must connect the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) to the tractor's diagnostic port.

   Diagnose underlying fault

   The technician will diagnose and repair the underlying fault that caused the operator to use the bypass function in the first place.

   Reset or reflash ECU

   Using dealer-level software, the ECU bypass timers must be reset, or the ECU must be reflashed.
