Massey Ferguson FA133 – Autotronic 5: Issue With Signal Voltage From Suspended Front Axle Position Sensor During Calibration (SUSPENSION)

Check the cause
Verify that the X166 position sensor is physically adjusted correctly on its mounting bracket, ensuring physical stop values are within allowed tolerances and suspension travel is not lower than the minimum fixed value.
Check the wiring harness connecting to the X166 sensor for a short to power (+12V) or a damaged connector that could be skewing the voltage reading.
Repair steps
Adjust the Sensor
Physically adjust the position sensor (X166) more accurately so that the suspension travel registers within the allowed tolerances.
Initiate Calibration
Press and hold the front axle suspension button in the cab until the indicator light begins to flash, then release it.
Set Upper Limit
Press the button again and hold it until the suspension reaches the very top of its travel, then release.
Set Lower Limit
Press the "off" (or down) button until the suspension reaches the very bottom of its travel, then release.
Finalize
The system will then automatically set itself between the stops. The "suspended front axle" indicator light will stop flashing once the calibration is successfully completed.
Replace if Necessary
If the calibration repeatedly fails and the voltage remains too high despite adjustment, the X166 sensor has failed internally and must be replaced.
