   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the X166 Suspended Front Axle Position Sensor for moisture intrusion.

   Inspect the connector pins for corrosion caused by hydraulic fluid or road salt.

   Test the circuit for a short to earth or an open circuit, which would cause the voltage signal to drop too low.

   Ensure the sensor housing is still properly sealed against dust and moisture.

   Preparation

   Park the tractor on level ground and ensure the front axle suspension is completely disengaged. Turn off the tractor and remove the key.

   Locate the Sensor

   Locate the X166 Suspended Front Axle Position Sensor on the front axle assembly.

   Disconnect

   Carefully disconnect the wiring harness from the sensor.

   Removal

   Remove the mounting hardware and extract the faulty sensor. Handle the area with care, as these are precision instruments.

   Installation

   Install the new front axle position sensor.

   Reconnect and Seal

   Reconnect the wiring harness. Ensure the connections are entirely clean and properly sealed to prevent future moisture intrusion.

   Calibration

   You must perform a system calibration after installation. The suspension module requires calibration to learn the new sensor's parameters.
