Massey Ferguson M07 – Mid Mount Valve Module: Loader Mid Mount Electro Valve Solenoid Open Circuit

The electrical circuit controlling the solenoid on the loader's mid-mount electro-hydraulic valve is broken, disconnected, or has failed internally, preventing the valve from actuating properly.

   Retrieve and verify codes using a compatible diagnostic tool to confirm M07 is active and check for related codes (such as M16 or M17)

   Visually inspect the wiring harness running from the Mid Mount Valve Module to the loader valve block for disconnected plugs, chafed wires, or physical damage

   Disconnect the plug at the affected electro valve solenoid and check for water ingress, bent pins, or corrosion

   Perform a continuity/resistance test using a multimeter across the pins of the solenoid coil (infinite resistance/OL confirms the internal coil has broken)

   If the solenoid tests within normal resistance specifications, test the wiring harness for continuity between the solenoid connector and the Mid Mount Valve Module to locate the break in the wire

   Preparation

   Park the tractor on a level surface, lower the loader completely to the ground to relieve hydraulic pressure, turn off the engine, and remove the key.

   Locate the Valve

   Identify the mid-mount electro valve block (typically located on the right side of the tractor under the cab/platform area, where the loader hydraulic lines connect).

   Disconnect Wiring

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid

   Remove the retaining nut or clip holding the solenoid coil to the valve stem. Carefully slide the faulty solenoid coil off the valve cartridge. (Note: You usually do not need to open the hydraulic system or remove the valve cartridge just to replace the electrical coil).

   Install New Part

   Slide the new replacement solenoid coil over the valve stem and secure it with the retaining nut/clip.

   Reconnect and Clear

   Plug the electrical connector back into the new solenoid. Reconnect your diagnostic tool and clear the M07 fault code.

   Operational Test

   Start the tractor and operate the loader joystick to ensure full functionality has returned and the code does not reset.
